LightEdge Implements Managed IT Business Services, Consulting Solutions in Kansas

LightEdge (News - Alert) Solutions has announced the successful implementation of its managed IT business services and consulting solutions in the Kansas City market.

In a release, Jim Masterson, chairman and CEO of LightEdge Solutions, said, “The timing for this market expansion could not be more perfect. We’re approaching a convergence of a fundamental adoption of cloud services by the business IT community and an incredible ability to access very affordable high-speed bandwidth through Google’s (News - Alert) Kansas City fiber initiative.”

With cloud-based IT solutions being the norm nowadays, the availability of high bandwidth opportunities are also increasing. LightEdge will now be able to add valuable information technology services to businesses in Kansas City and surrounding suburbs.

In 2011, LightEdge added a local sales staff and data center colocation space within the Bryant Building. It also deployed an enterprise-grade cloud computing platform based on Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) and VMware virtualization software, said officials.

It was revealed that this platform can be synergistically employed with an environment located in LightEdge’s free-standing data center facility as part of a hybrid cloud solution featuring on-premise compute/storage environments.

According to officials, the company is a provider of integrated BroadSoft (News - Alert) VoIP infrastructure with hosted Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) unified communications solution. Also LightEdge has successfully launched a Public/Private/Hybrid cloud server solution based on a Cisco UCS computing environment and VMware.

T.J. Bangs, regional vice president of sales for LightEdge, remarked, “What we’re bringing to the market is a real game-changer for the way businesses look at delivering IT services. Through a consumption-based model we’re offering the businesses of Kansas City the ability to simply ‘plug in’ to enterprise-grade IT services like Cloud Computing, Voice-over-IP, Managed Security and Unified Communications with minimal capex and maximum flexibility.”

LightEdge provides cloud-based IT services, and is a full-service consulting group certified to sell, implement and manage premise-based Cisco and EMC (News - Alert) devices. The company helps businesses to leverage compute and storage facilities in the Public cloud to ensure uninterrupted operation even during outages.
