eApps Expands Its Presence Into QTS Richmond Data Center


QTS (News - Alert), a provider of data center facilities and managed services, announced that its Richmond data center is going to host eApps, a private cloud provider.

eApps Hosting claimed that it is a  high value provider of cloud hosting and related services for businesses and organizations around the globe.

QTS (Quality Technology Services (News - Alert)) stated that it has been developing its Richmond data center campus with an objective to support enterprise custom data center clients, government data center consolidation opportunities and commercial colocation and managed services needs. The Richmond data center is a 1.3 million sq ft campus with 4 distinct data center buildings and Class A office space. Also the QTS Suwanee Data Center is in the tech-heavy northern suburbs of Atlanta and houses 372,000 square feet of the more than 1.3 million square feet offered by QTS in metro Atlanta.

By venturing into the Richmond, Va. data center, eApps will be able to host 500 private cloud customers in Virginia. The company plans to continue increasing its footprint within both the Richmond and Suwanee Data Centers later in 2012. eApps asserted that expanding into Richmond is a natural next step as it continue to grow its infrastructure and serve its customers . The redundancy, security, service and collaborative nature of its partnership with QTS has been an asset to its business. It looks forward to growing and deepening that relationship in this new state-of-the-art facility.
