Integrated Management Dashboard Changes the Cloud Services Game for Integrators

System integrators in the cloud services market face some unique challenges. There are plenty of products and solutions out there they can help enterprises adopt, but the process of doing so is often inefficient because there’s no easy way to do centralized procurement and management.

That is, until now.

Veddio recently introduced its Nebula Dashboard, which allows gives providers a unified view of cloud computing. Now, providers can take services like Microsoft (News - Alert) Exchange, SharePoint, VoIP, and virtual desktops, and bundle them all together for clients.

This not only makes managing cloud services easier, it also provides some guidance as to exactly what ‘cloud’ can or should mean.

“Over the past few years, we’ve seen a big fragmentation in the marketplace,” said Todd Myers, co-founder and CEO of Veddio, during a TMCnet video interview at ITEXPO (News - Alert) West 2011 in Austin, Texas. “Cloud has become a daily used word, but there’s a lot of confusion about what cloud is.”

Myers described the target market for Veddio’s solutions as being “computer guys in the IT field,” particularly systems integrators, value-added resellers (VARs) and managed service providers (MSPs).

“These tools allow system integrators can bundle services into their support packages, and also allows the channel partner to own the customer,” Myers said during the video interview.

In a nutshell, the Nebular Dashboard lets various services be managed with a holistic view. It incorporates provisioning, upgrades, downgrades, and other functions.

Myers said this type of solution fills a real gap in the market. Customers are demanding cloud services, but there hasn’t been a one-stop shop for tying all those services together. So, it’s often been necessary to go directly to various providers, like GoDaddy for hosting or Carbonite for backup.

Veddio’s goal is to change that game.

“We provide a one-stop shop for service provider to buy from on wholesale basis,” Myers explained.
